NYC & Some Turning Leaves

A quick weekend trip to the city.

Just some quick snaps I took while visiting NYC for a long weekend.

There weren’t many specific destinations in mind but the weather was nice and I hadn’t spent a whole lot of time exploring Central Park on previous visits, so I decided to prioritize my time in the park.

I also got to explore the relatively new Little Island and took the Roosevelt Island tramway, which offered some cool overhead views of the city. In the afternoon my friends and I walked through the High Line but I didn’t take many photos there, it was a nice scenic route devoid of cars and bikes but it was pretty packed with foot traffic since it was such a nice day.

Since NYC has always been so close I have never felt rushed to explore all the city has to offer, it’s always felt super accessible, yet I really haven’t spent a lot of time exploring the area.

Anytime I face logistical hurdles in my travels — long flights, hotels, random taxis, etc. — I tend to fill up an entire itinerary’s worth of notes to make sure I haven’t wasted a day and make the most of my visits.

I don’t necessarily follow those notes to a tee but I like to have them as a backup in case I cannot formulate an impromptu exploration, or idle in free time.
