For all my anxiety around losing things I had no trepidation about bringing my camera to Europe. The “adult camera” had gotten minimal usage my freshman and sophomore year of college, partially because of my iPhone.

I don’t recall seeing a lot of swanlings, just varying groups of adult swans. Though my recent ability to discern between fowls hasn’t been all that strong, during my first visit to the lake I confused baby mallards for goslings.

I have to remind myself in the future that light drizzles can be ideal conditions for a parade.

Something still caught my eye about images in high school and during that time I was trying to find ways to practice photography through extracurriculars.

Transit has a different feel this year. I’ve been off and on the D.C. metro very infrequently the last three years.

The beach is really casual this time of year. A month before Memorial Day and if the weather cooperates you can have a summer-ish day on the sand.

I don’t have much recollection around the first time I intentionally used a camera, if my memory serves me right we always had a few lying around the house.

I haven’t ventured all that far west, in college all my travels were eastward bound but with friends relocating to California trips have started to pop up in my flight log.

In the spring of 2018 I spent about 10 days in Europe with half that time spent in France. Within our first three days in Paris my group’s step count hit 100 miles.
